Just got back from an amazing trip from Bali, and had the most memorable time in one of the best luxurious hotels in Bali. If you following me on Instagram & social media you already know I was lucky to explore 3 different luxury properties in beautiful Bali. The first hotel I stayed in Bali was Courtyard by Marriott resort located about 45 minutes or so drive from the airport, Courtyard Marriott Seminyak is a beautiful property that offers very good value for your money and also located in Bali’s most happening area. Read on to know more details about my experience at courtyard Marriott Seminyak resort.
Arrival:
I arrived at the Courtyard Marriott Seminyak late in the evening due to a flight delay and first thing which surprised me was heavy security check at the hotel entrance, yes you heard it right I had to go through double security checking first the taxi screening on the main entrance and latter x-ray screening of all the luggage including hand bags. I was way too tired to question the double security check, anyways after clearing all the security check I was warmly greeted by hotel staff and was offered a refreshing welcome drink (An ice tea & fresh cold towels ) while waiting to be checked in. After smooth and speedy check-in we were guided to our room by very friendly hotel staff.
Room: As I entered in to the room the beautiful painting hanging on the king size bed got my all attention. I was given a Deluxe room with a balcony on the 6 floor. The room was very clean with a modern and beautiful decor, a large bathroom with a rain shower head and a balcony overlooking the centrally located pool. The room also had the universal outlets that fit all of my electronics.
The only downside was that our room was a bit noisy due to below average sound insulation but the guest services staff was very courteous and understanding and took our noise concern seriously and put us in a new Deluxe room facing the pool for the remainder of our stay. I’d also like to extend my thanks again to the amazing staff at Courtyard Marriott.

Food: Highlight of my stay was definitely the Breakfast at the Seminyak kitchen, which was very good, with a fairly wide assortment of freshly made Indonesian and other Asian breakfast options, western staples like bacon, eggs, pancakes, and waffles as well as plenty of fresh fruits, juices and cheeses. For the dinner and lunch I didn’t eat at the hotel restaurants as there were so many local restaurant nearby I wanted to try. They also have a food truck right at the main gate of the hotel called “what the truck” which serve Mexican food with range of drinks, great way to pickup the food on the go or for takeaways.
Room service was also quite good, relatively inexpensive and available 24hrs.

Amenities: The hotel has 2 restaurants, a spa, a 24 hr gym, a 2 level pool with a pool bar. The pool has quite an interesting multi level design with a kids section and an adults area with a pool bar that offers refreshing drinks such as the Marriott branded coconut. The pool is surrounded by a good number of lounge chairs and colourful bean bags for the sun bathers. At the pool side they also have open sunbathing area on the grass.
Location: the Courtyard Marriott is located in one of the most happening areas of Seminyak, Bali, a very safe, clean and tourist friendly area (but also tourist prices) with many shops, restaurants, bars, massage parlours nearby. There’s also a pretty long stretch of beach located just within a few short minutes walk, that goes on for quite a few kilometres and is totally worth to check out, especially for the sunset.
Overall I had an amazing 3 nights at beautiful property of courtyard Marriott. If you are someone who’s travelling for the first time to Bali and looking for comfortable yet luxurious stay in seminyak Bali, I highly recommend this place and for those who prefer to relax in their rooms, make sure to ask for a pool side room with a balcony.
