No trip to Abu Dhabi is complete without visiting the famous Etihad Towers & Emirates palace. Location: Jumeirah at Etihad towers are 5 stunning towers that sparkle in never ending sunshine’s of Abudhabi city located west end of corniche. The Observation deck at 300 is located on the 74th floor of Etihad Tower 2 and offers splendid sweeping views of the nation capital’s skyline, the famous Emirates Palace & Presidential palace. Entrance for visitors is 95 AED with 55 AED redeemable as food & beverage vouchers at the venue, while in house guests staying at Etihad Towers and children under four can enter for free. observation deck also offers selections of exclusive teas.
Experience: Upon arrival you will receive your ticket voucher from lobby and guided to elevator which directly goes to 74th floor at observation deck. After settling in to your desired seat you will be offered a welcome drink and an extensive tea menu curated by TWG Tea which is deemed by some to be the finest luxury tea brand in the world. The high tea was accompanied by varied selection of perfectly presented small bites, mini pastries, and delicious scones. The scones were served hot and presented with 2 varieties, traditional plain scone and chocolate chip scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam. My favorites were definitely the chocolate hot scones and red velvet cake. The service was amazing with spectacular views of the city.
There are plenty of tables to accommodate everyone and best part is there’s no rush to leave, sip your tea and eat at a leisurely pace while enjoying the sunset above Abu Dhabi.
cost: price for afternoon tea per person is 250 AED and you can redeem 55 AED from your entry voucher
After a cameo in the famous fast & furious 7 movie where a car jumps between 2 of the towers, the luxurious Etihad towers have attracted numerous more guests. The afternoon tea at Etihad tower has the best view of the city skyline is definitely one to add to your itinerary whilst in the UAE but i highly recommend to book at least one day in advance for High Tea to make sure you get a seat because they do fill up quickly!
Note* They also serve High Tea at the lobby lounge of Etihad tower.
